Recipes

This carry can either be partially pretied or wrapped around baby. Here are the possible recipes.

Partially pretied:

  1. Center the wrap on your front.
  2. Put one side under your arm, across your back, and over the opposite shoulder.
  3. Do the same thing on the other side.
  4. Pop baby into the horizontal pass on your front.
  5. Go over then under baby's legs with bunched cross passes.
  6. Tie in back.

Wrapped around baby:

  1. Put baby on your front.
  2. Center wrap on baby's back.
  3. Put one side under your arm, across your back, and over the opposite shoulder.
  4. Do the same thing on the other side.
  5. Go over then under baby's legs with bunched cross passes.
  6. Tie in back.

Tutorials

Partially Pretied:

Here's my tutorial, where I show my favorite tricks, including how to tighten the wrap over your shoulder so that the pass over baby gets tightened as well – this is important if you don't want a saggy carry.

One thing I do not do well in this tutorial is put baby in. A better way to put baby in is to reach your hand through the wrap and guide baby's legs through.

This tutorial by Babywearing Faith shows a better way to put baby in, as well as also showing careful tightening of the top rail.

Wrapped Around Baby:

I haven't found too many tutorials showing this method... but it really is very convenient if you don't want to put your baby down! Here's a tutorial by WearingRawAndPure showing how to start a FWCC like this. (For the rest of the steps, I'd follow another tutorial.)
